Meet the teamERPNext: frequently asked questions
How do we know we need an ERP?
If teams work in separate spreadsheets, stock and accounts rarely match, month-end takes weeks, or reports must be built by hand, an ERP will pay for itself.
Which ERP do you recommend?
It depends on size, budget and processes. We work with ERPNext, Odoo, SAP Business One and Oracle NetSuite, and recommend after a needs assessment, not before.
Why do you often suggest ERPNext?
It is open source with no per-user licence fees, supports Arabic and English, multi-currency and Qatar WPS payroll, and covers accounting, inventory, HR and projects in one system.
How long does implementation take?
A core finance and inventory rollout typically takes 8 to 16 weeks; a multi-company or manufacturing rollout takes longer.
Will we lose historical data?
No, if migration is planned. We cleanse and migrate masters, opening balances and required history, and reconcile before go-live.
How can AI help a business like ours?
Common uses are invoice and document capture, automated reconciliations, sales and cash-flow forecasting, chatbots for customer queries and management dashboards.
Our ERP project has stalled. Can you help?
Yes. We run a project health check, fix configuration and process gaps, retrain users and restart adoption.
Is the Digital Transformation Grant relevant to us?
Qatar Development Bank programmes can co-fund digital projects for eligible SMEs. We can advise on eligibility and prepare the supporting quotation.
